well there have been 3 murders and 2 shootings in 7 weeks in oc la county that i know of..and still we are unable to get a ccw or better gun laws to favor the good guy..so what do you do to protect yourself..

I think the bold should answer your question. Also, it is typically considered bad form to discuss violating the law on a forum frequented by the same people who would be arresting and/or prosecuting you. The Internet isn't as anonymous as some would like to think.

well as of right now i own 10 round mags and dont carry outside my home..i kinda thought nobody would answer..o wellss

I'd never advocate violating the law, but I believe (corrections appreciated if necessary) that first offense carry-without-license is a misdemeanor if the gun is registered to you and you are not a 'gang member'.
