Fear of President Obama has done more for the NRA than all other efforts combined. That's a cash cow the right is just not going to let go of.

In that case Obama's playing right into their hands just like Clinton and the democrats in congress did in 1994.

Obama has tried a few "under the radar" tricks this year. The signing statement was the bold move for him this year.

I don't think the signing statement is unique to Obama. Every President seems to pull that crap. They shouldn't, but they do. They should come out front and either sign the bill or veto it. This routine of crossing your fingers behind your back is perfectly normal .....if you're a kid.

Instead of the big doom & gloom old news how about a question on a more mundane but current aspect of the gun issue? Why, for example, has our supposedly pro-gun Senate Majority Leader failed to bring the national reciprocity bill (passed by the House) up for a vote? Could it be because the President, in similar fashion to Keystone, doesn't want to risk ticking of a large block of voters before Nov 2012?

Well, two of the posters seem to've implied that it's only being used as a fundraising ploy by the NRA, but in reality he isn't anti-2A. I'm just trying to clarify their position, as I might've misunderstood it.

Just read their past posts he is not an anti, he is actually pro-liberty. We've been brainwashed by the NRA's rightest rhetoric.
