I don't think we need to be concerned that any substantive changes were made in the restructuring of the law. I believe there were people on our side involved in the process to be certain that we wouldn't get messed with.

ETA The bill for this was SB1080 from 2010. It passed a long time ago, so not many current threads on it have been needed.

Generally speaking, the renumbering process was monitored by lots of people; IIRC, Jason Davis, who often works on cases for CGF, was one of them.

I do have a .docx with the translation table. The group that did the renumbering put it out. I converted to Word format and I'm slowly annotating it as I need to refer to sections.

Yes, it will be available, but probably in January. I'm still slowly updating the wiki for the new numbers.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Business as usual for California, then... don't tell the people responsible for upholding the law what the law really contains?

Figured how to upload it to the Wiki as a .pdf:

Ongoing annotations. More versions as time goes on.

(And yes, this is the Word 'save as pdf' output; sorry, the links to the code are dead, but all are available at http://law.onecle.com/california/penal/ )
