Magazine Coupler Legality on a BB (maglocked) Rifle

    Hey guys,

I tried searching for "magazine coupler" but didnt find exactly what I was looking for. What is the consensus on Mag couplers (joining 2 10rd mags mag clamp style, side by side) on a bullet button firearm? Legal yes/no?

If legal, then my followup question is what about THIS type of coupler?:

Would an end to end coupler make it a "high cap" mag (in the eyes of stupifornia)?

And, in specific regards would it make it a "non-10rd fixed magazine" if inserted into a Bullet buttoned rifle.

    IMO, both legal.

The things you propose do not 'manufacture' a 10+ capacity magazine.

Yeah, I spotted this thing on a Canadian website. They have laws just as bad (if not worse) as Commiefornia, and apparently they are fine with this type of setup...

          nice

Long as you don't mind your 2nd mag being full of dirt and debris LOL JK kinda.... not like your gonna jam the ends into the mud but ya follow me I' am sure. I too am having issues with single 10 rounders and a bullet button. Nice though.. I wouldn't mind that. The issue I' am having most is finding pouches suitable for 10 rounders any thoughts besides the obvious.

Thats why I kind of like the idea of this coupler, 2 10rd mags back to back with that coupler is roughly the same as a 30rd mag in size. I'm sick of losing (digging for) my 10rd mags in the bottom of 30rd mag pouches...

two axes in order to swap.
not that swapping mags in a BB-ed rifle/pistol is a quick and simple thing anyway, just sayin'... it would quite likely be faster to let the mag fall free and replace w/ a fresh one from a pouch that to do this pull-twist^2-insert dance.

Not sure where you're getting this. On that bottom-to-bottom magazine coupler, all the cartridges are pointing in the same direction. You'd only have to flip it in one axis.

now that i look at it again, you're right... my mistake. one axis it is (although its probably the more awkward of the 2 i was thinking of before)

Why not use an ordinary mag coupler? You could still rest your gun on a bench without messing up your mag.

If you want to do it like this coupler you can always use the original bargain design - a piece of duct tape.

I imagine the biggest problem is that a 10 round mag sits nearly flush in the magwell.

pretty cool coupler there. I've only ever seen the side by side ones before.
