Does no UOC mean no unloaded pistol on car seat?

If UOC is illegal, does that mean one can no longer have an unloaded pistol sitting in the open, on the fron seat of their car?

    Pretty much.

If you are in incorporated territory (ie: inside city limits) or unincorporated territory where discharge is prohibited by local ordinance you would be in violation of 26350.

Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim -- when he defends himself -- as a criminal. Bastiat

To and from hunting are an exception to AB144, of course it would also be good to have that hunting license in possession.

Transport of a concealable firearm (handgun) in a locked container in a vehicle has always been required. It is not an UOC related issue. There are some exceptions, but it generally needs to be locked up.
I don't care what you call me, just don't call me late for dinner. Stupid Idiot will suffice, after all, it's only words.

Perhaps i should also elaborate. Open carry in a vehicle is, until Jan 1 legal. It is highly suggested to lock the firearm up due to the GFSZ laws. I can personally reach travels of over 100 miles and not have to worry about schools. Open carry is OK. In cities however you would be hard pressed to travel and not go through a school zone.

seriously, is there anyone challenging the 1000 feet GFSZ law in court?
It seems to me the worst of any gun laws ever as I live in a community that surrounded by 3 schools.

I really don't care about GFSZ on actually K-12 campus, but the 1000 feet around it is virtually prohibit people in dense community of carry firearms.

                  No.

It has an exemption for LTC - when we fix LTC so it's rational, GFSZ is no longer much of a problem.

If we get no-license carry, maybe can challenge zones then as too much of a burden on the right.

I'm no firearm law expert, but I have heard VERY VERY DIFFERENT. Care to back those statements up with facts?

That's certainly the most common way, the 12026.1 way, and it's required going through school zones, but until January it's legal to UOC in a vehicle exactly as to UOC out of a vehicle - still does not violate 12025 (concealed) or 12031 (loaded).
