Has Barrett industry or the family had anything to say about Gunwalker? I'm in no way blaming them for their .50 cals going to Mexico to be perfectly clear, however they are an extremely patriotic family, and Barrett sr. seems like a really stand up guy, if it were my company and firearms ending up in the hands of cartel animals I believe I'd be screaming bloody murder and demanding heads to roll.
At one point weren't gun manufacturers being sued for their guns being used in crimes? Why can't Barrett, FN, and the other companies sue the feds for allowing this to happen?
Hizballah, Jammat al Muslimeen, al-Gama’ at Islamiyya, Al Qaeda, Hamas are just a few Islamic militant organizations that have either launched, attempted to launch, or raise funds in the area, and this has been since the 1990s. Supplying fully automatic weapons should also be extremely easy, many of the shi'ite groups can get Iranian backing, then you just ship them across the ocean bribe an official with a few dollars to look the other way and begin distributing. If memory serves correctly, Russia typically sides with Iran at the UN tables, China and Pakistan are quite cozy, and guess what? Pakistan has an 80% or so Sunni population! So now theres an arms source for Shi'ites and Sunni to get russian/chinese ak-47s, in return they can get drugs to further their ideals of destabilizing and destroying those of non islamic faith, and get money for terrorist operations, be they launched in the middle east, carribean or south/central america. We have a history of using drug money to secretly fund military actions, why wouldn't terrorists, not to mention all the cartel has to do is make and sell at cost, leaving transportation to the middle east/europe and distribution to be the concern of terrorists.Interestingly enough, the selective-fire versions of these weapons can be had far more cheaply on the black market than the semi-automatic version in U.S gun shops (selective-fire versions, if they can be found, require an extensive background check conducted over weeks, and cost tens of thousands of dollars). A selective fire AK-47 or AKM can be had for $100 or (far less) depending on conditions on the black market
And the best(worst) part of it is, our president who is receiving daily intel briefs on such topics is saying that 90% of the arms in Mexico are ours.
Imagine if the forefathers found out Washington was secretly supplying arms to british sympathizers, what their reaction would be? I'm sure in this day and age it wont happen but I firmly believe a charge of treason for those in positions of power who took part of this would not be extreme.

Can they really afford to tick off the ATF? If F&F has proved anything it is they are willing to destroy anyone who gets in their way. There are some good guys in the ATF, but they aren't running the show.Has Barrett industry or the family had anything to say about Gunwalker? Excellent point. The BATF, like most modern gubmint bureaucracies, will steamroll anyone under their thumb.Comment

Speaking specifically about the old lawsuit against Intratec, the government lost that one, so it would seem to be a bad route to attempt.Comment

Really? How so? Their weapons are legal in the states they distribute to, also they provide the military and have been supplying the military since the 1980s, I'm sure they have a few TN senators in their pocket, and who knows who else.
The ATF may *Attempt* to steam roll over people, but under this failed regime they're doing a pretty miserable job of it. It's like a bunch of college kids playing communist, they have no idea how to accomplish their end game.
Or their bungling tactics are a distraction for something more sinister.
I wonder if the Terry family has talked to the Tillman's, working with them could apply quite a bit of pressure on the feds.Comment
