Looks like I'm really a calgunner now

Born and raised here in SoCal. Recently moved back here from WA after being discharged from the army. Had a LTC, all the standard capacity mags I wanted and even some 75 rounders. No registration. Life was good. Now since I've been back I have bullet buttons, 10 round mags, registration and all kinds of crud to deal with and no more LTC.
I'm just about to be in the air force and will be stationed up at Beale. I was trying to go somewhere more gun friendly but this is what I got.

My question is, since I'll be living in Yuba County, how easy/hard is it to get a LTC up there? Judging by this map http://media.photobucket.com/image/c...cw_map-big.png It looks like it shouldn't be too hard, but I want some personal experience stories. Has anyone applied successfully in this county? Could you give me some do's and don'ts as far as applying? How hectic is the process? Is the Sheriff a d**k? Thanks for your input.

Have many friends with Yuba permits. If Yuba will give one to any friend of mine you are surely good to go. Thank you for your service.

I also suggest you post your LTC questions in the Yuba LTC Area

Check out the Rod and Gun Club at Beale. I shoot there all the time. Good place and good people that work there. As far as Sheriff Parker (Sutter County) goes, he is a great person and very pro-gun/2A. Plus he was my beat sergeant way back in the day when I was a patrol reserve with the sheriff's dept. Getting a CCW in Sutter Co. is no hassle, especially with you being military.
