A case involving Colt AR15 vs., say, a Stag Stag-15 case is just a commercial discrimination matter and all it does is attack Kasler list - but SB23 matters are severable.

Suing just because you don't like a law is a sure Gorsky-esque way to fail. This has to be a civil rights case and dovetail with Heller, McDonald, etc.

Note that CGF is already danicing with the DOJ on Richards v. Harris (with Haynie v. Pleasanton as part of it) and more will be forthcoming... DOJ has some problems they don't yet know about.
Cal DoJ even has some problems that CalGuns doesn't know about! Too many to list, would be my guess.

I propose this is worthy of a sticky.
It's good info to keep people out of unnecessary trouble.

same thing if you're using a Ceiner-type conversion bolt-carrier assembly, instead of actually swapping uppers.
        1. With BB in locked mag condition, remove centerfire AR BCG
        2. Insert .22 LR conversion BCG
        3. Unlock BB to allow dropping rimfire mags

reverse for return to centerfire status, being sure to secure maglock before inserting centerfire BCG
