I take it they're may-issue in New Hampshire?

I believe NH is effectivly shall issue.

I believe that NH is effectively shall issue.

Given that NH has a very very active liberty organization that is working to roll back the size and scope of government. Changing from Shall issue to no need to issue is one such change.

NH is on my short list of places I might move to after CA.

I would think that MT would have been next, but many said the same about UT. The 2 could have CC on the top of their list.

I say the entire USA could effectively be CC within 5 years of a "pro carry outside the home" holding coming out of the USSC.

...and California is next for legislating constitutional carry.

                    OK, I know, bad joke....

No. New Hampshire is one of the most pro-gun states in America. I believe they were shall-issue even before Florida.

The author of the bill is clearly a radical:

The committee stripped much of the more extreme language from the bill as it was originally filed by Rep. J.R. Hoell, R-Dunbarton. His version ended the ban on guns in courtrooms, and called for the arrest of police chiefs who denied permits to someone unless they were a convicted felon. It would also have made it a crime for police to stop someone carrying without a permit, and would have made it legal to carry a blackjack, brass knuckles and slingshots.
But who says that is a bad thing?

MT just missed it last session. More power to the leadership states. They can move the goalposts the right direction and we can leverage more strongly being further out of the mainstream. This time though we might be able to catch up quicker (instead of 20 years...)

Technically no, however IIRC the carry laws only apply inside city limits. Outside city limits, I think you can carry however you please (but don't bother to mention my name to the judge if you didn't check to see if I was right before carrying). I also seem to recall that concealed means *concealed by clothing*, so you can carry in a vehicle within city limits without restriction. And a briefcase, purse, fanny pack, or other container may also not qualify as "concealed" by Montana definition, though I'd *definitely* check that out before using it.

What do you need guns for if you are going to send your children, seven hours a day, 180 days a year to government schools? What do you need the guns for at that point?-- R. C. Sproul, Jr. (unconfirmed)
