Whatever your personal thoughts, marijuana is illegal under federal law, which supersedes the state 'medical' marijuana acts. Seems fairly simple and straight forward to me.

HIPPA protects med users, so there is no way for the ATF to know without getting court orders.

The only documentation is at the patients home with his/her recommendation or at the doctors office.

People keep simply pointing out that it is illegal, which doesn't address the problem. Sure, it's illegal, should people become prohibited people because they may or may not do something that is illegal, and unrelated? Should sick people lose their right to defend themselves? Either way, this happened a month ago and it has been posted EVERYWHERE. Comrade, the people on this board find any firearm related news within seconds of its release

You mean HIPAA - And I hardly doubt those fly-by-night medical marijuana "Dr. offices" in seedy strip malls, follow any HIPAA regulations on data security. Especially when they go out of business. What do you think happens to all those records?

Who is so "fly by night" ?? The ones I see are making TONS of money, and not going anywhere.
