Drafting a survey about guns, all want to help?

Need a,b,c,d or t/f questions. I want them to be neutral and involving knowledge of firearms. Something like, "what do you feel the average CCW crime rate is nationally?".

    (a) above 1% of total crimes.
    (b) below 1% of total crimes.

I need about 20 questions. Remember, neutral. Thanks

Why not just steal from the HSC information? Government (all of us) paid to develop that.

Study guide at http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/hscinfo.php has chapter 'self test' pages.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

I am not sure what you are getting at. Are you trying to uncover the level of ignorance among people about gun laws and other social issues or are you trying to do a survey to find out what the public opinion is on guns and gun laws?

I think a much more meaningful question/statistic would be "what % of people with a license to carry a firearm are convicted of any firearms-related crime?"

ETA: Terms like CCW are jargon specific to gunnies and should be avoided when writing something for the general public to read. Depending on your target audience, of course.

Where are you going with this?

Are you fishing (aka exploratory research) or do you have a specific research question in mind? It makes a difference, not only in the wording of survey items but the statistical analysis that is appropriate. A priori and a posteriori analyses are not the same because of the possibility of capitalizing on chance outcomes.

In other words, Dude you need to focus and then post. Until then it will be difficult to provide valuable assistance.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

That was the idea. Similar to the jobs in california survey which tried to see how many people were informed. Changed the topic of the essay tho, thanks anyways guys.
