    Minors and magazines

Is it legal for a minor be in possession of a magazine? Or keep a magazine he/she found? I ask because when I was in high school, we moved in to a new house and found about 7 brand new 1911 magazines. The previous owner left a bunch of junk behind and I found them in a old filthy tool shed. My dad said it was illegal for me to keep so he threw them out with the rest of the trash So, what do you guys think?

There are no Federal or CA state laws that prohibits a minor from acquiring/purchasing/owning/possessing a non-large capacity ammunition feeding device for a firearm.

I don't know of any law that makes it illegal for a minor to own ANY magazine (porn excluded). Not only can minors OWN magazines but, minors can also OWN FIREARMS.

          cleared it up for you.

no law against minors owning standard cap or hi-cap magazines. magazine ownership has no age limit.
