ATF Reporting multiple rifle purchases, What is a purchase?

If I buy mini 14 one day on the internet, then tomorrow buy a AK47 on the internet and have both rifle shipped to a FFL, can I dros one at a time a week apart and not be on the 'list"?

    Thanks

prolly theoretically. I think it was 2 more purchased in a 5 day period.

you could always have them sent to different FFL's also.

If you pick up 2 rifles with det mags greater than 22lr from the same dealer within 5 days, the FFL will have to submit a report. It really isnt anything to be worried about.

The date you take possession from the FFL is the sale. It doesn't matter when you order the firearm. If you take delivery of two at the same time or within 5 days of each other, it needs to be reported.

An interesting point to note is that not all FFLs were given notice to do the reporting by ATF. FFLs were specifically told not to report unless they received the notification. You could shop around for an FFL that didn't receive the notice.....

I think that the threshold is 5 days, so yes.

BTW - you're already on "the list".
