I agree, no one said we have a perfect system, yet. The only good thing about this is that i would have to think that at $150, the county would be losing money by doing this. JMO

This is what Kern County has been doing for a long time, even though the law currently mandates payment upon submission of the application.

I didn't have to pay a penny until I was notified that my good cause had been approved, and then I had to take the training and bring the certificate and a check to the Sheriff's office and then get livescan fingerprinted there.

The same is true with Ventura County for a long time.

"watsonville" I am a Correctional Officer for the county of Santa Cruz, I can't even get a LTC from Sheriff Wowak. I work for the man, but he doesn't trust petty CO's to carry. good luck to you, hope you have better luck.
