If AB809 goes into effect it would appear the DROS software will need some work. Does CA have a legal distinction between rifles, pistols, frames/receivers? (I realize there is between rifles and pistols) If so is there any way to force them to add frame/receiver/other to the software? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious I'm new at this lemonade stuff.

The DROS system fix initiative has been underway for a while (though chugging along slowly, as it's just not a front-burner issue as are bear, AWs, etc.); AB 809 may offer additional points of leverage. If AB809 goes into effect it would appear the DROS software will need some work.
