CGF Blog: The History of CGF v. Ventura and our Carry License Initiative

    All,

Please check out CGF's new blog we've created to post new updates, intel, analysis, and thoughts. Be sure to comment and ask questions - we truly enjoy engaging on these important issues and hope you'll find this to be a resource for your 2A "onli-brary".

I look forward to having some guest bloggers (such as Don Kilmer, Jason Davis, and others) roll through soon, and I think you'll find the short non-press release blurbs entertaining (at the least) and very informative. This year, I'll be posting quite a bit as our 2011 Carry License Initiative audit progresses and we'll, of course, be touching on the major cases and other efforts as they go forward.

Thanks very much for your support and readership!

    -Brandon

P.S. We have a new FAQ installed now also. The team did a great job of getting some initial content out there. Hopefully, some of you would volunteer to join or assist the Wiki/FAQ Education Team in adding and updating information for the benefit of all California gun owners.

Awesome! Is there or will there be an RSS feed option for these entries?

Edit: Never mind, just found it!

Have more counties handed over statements which are waiting to be redacted?? Its been a while since I've seen any new statements, other than Ventura's of course.

The 2011 Initiative audit commenced in August. We received Ventura's "early" because of the lawsuit timing. We should start receiving other counties within the next few weeks. It appears that some counties, however, might need to be reminded of the law - again. Keep your eye on the blog for more updates this week.

The "Check here to acknowledge the terms and conditions" checkbox is not active, hence I could not leave my comments:

Let me be the first to compliment and thank both Brandon and the entire CalGuns Foundation on their excellent work. You gentlemen are at the forefront of a very important and historic civil rights fight. Your actions are securing the civil rights of millions of people state wide. Ultimately, this will save many lives and you all need to be commended for undertaking such a noble task. My hat is off to each and every one of you.
But, I will do it here as you all need to hear just how much I appreciate all of your hard work.

I look forward to seeing the list of compliant counties.

Thanks, truly, for the kind words. Ours are team wins, and tons of credit goes to the volunteers who make the redactions of thousands of pages annually happen.
