    Remembering 9/11

I would like to take this time out to remember those who lost their lives a decade ago on 9/11/2001. May you rest in peace.

Thanks for the post. Somber day tomorrow. May we never forget. It will be my honor to fly Old Glory tomorrow. To all the current and former service men & women who read this...Today I woke up in the greatest country since the dawn of time thanks to your sacrifice and selflessness, I don't care what theatre you served in you are all heroes in my book. To all those that lost loved ones on that horrific day 10 years ago may the tears you shed be for the happy memories of your loved ones.

It was strangely overcast in my neck on that day 10 yrs. ago, it is overcast again today.

I wonder what 12/7/51 was like by comparison.

It'll be my 4th year going on the Remember 9/11 Ride from Cooks Corner to Long Beach. It's an excellent way to spend the day remembering and paying tribute to those who fell.

Anyone out there with a motorcycle is welcome to register and ride. There is a fee this year (to cover the cost of police escorts, permits, etc I'm sure) but it's well worth it. You can also attend the event in Long Beach without riding.

                      I'm an American and I remember September 11, 2001.

We can no longer sit quietly and allow one of America's founding Rights to be marginalized by fear.

My mom is a flight attendant for American Airlines and was in the air on that day ten years ago. I did not know what was the status of her flight at the time until she was able to call us some hours later that she was safe on the ground in LAX. At church this morning I wore my uniform (I'm an airline pilot) with an 9/11 remembrance pin for my fallen brethren on AA Flt's 11/77 and UA Flt's 93/175. The day that we forget that islamic terrorists murdered over 3,000 people is the day that we dishonor their memory and to those that are fighting to protect our freedoms.

Wow, I never thought I'd EVER actually like an LA Times article on such an issue.
