My point was that since I was a kid, there has always been an element in this country that hates California because it is threatening to them and/or is better than where they are stuck.
At about my 15th year of my 25 year residency in Ca., while in Colorado my uncle mentioned to a feed store owner "this is my nephew from California", and I immediately received a weird look. After leaving the store, I asked my uncle what that was all about. "Whatever takes place politically in California has a way of spreading to other states, and we want none of it" (he was speaking about onerous regulations)...and he is as apolitical as they come.
His cattle ranch is paid for, the scenery is spectacular, his registered bulls sell in the 40k range, and at his private shooting range, no one ever sweeps him with a muzzle.

Other than that, his place isn't in California so I guess he is just "stuck" in that hellhole.

Another ignorant and/or narrow-minded seller on Gunbroker.

A lot of those idiots don't know anything about California laws. Everytime I'm in Florida or Texas and it comes up I live in California, some dumbass over there starts mocking me because I can't own an AR in California and so on. I can't count the number of times where I emailed a Gunbroker seller about his "No sale to CA" mention, and explained to him that yes, this firearm is perfectly legal in California. A lot of them are really surprised and have no idea. They think semi-auto ARs are prohibited, they think they can't ship C&R long guns directly to CA FFL03 holders, etc.

Mostly those idiots just repeat whatever FUD they've been fed by the local ignorant gun shop owners, and they all think California is just a bunch of SF and Hollywood liberals, because they don't know crap about politics and history in this state.

        That would be correct.

I am really happy that California still works for you. I wish it did for me. I was born and raised in California and my entire life is invested in it. I never thought I would be starting a new life in another state but I believe California is doomed for what I want in life.

          Are Lake County liberals different?

And yes, I expect to pay for this. I just couldn't resist.

I recently won a bid on GB for a gun that was /is on roster. The ad said that they would ship to CA. The dealer had never sold in CA. and the transfer dealer I use said he was too busy to walk someone through the process, so I walked the dealer through the process. I contacted DOJ and spoke to a very helpful women who emailed me the links to the documents which I forwarded onto the out of state dealer and that was that. He was was not only pleased to sell the gun, but now he sees a new market as well.
I have emailed other dealers that stated NO CA SALES and asked them why. One said he could not support a state that had such restrictive laws. When I explained that by not selling to CA residents he was hurting the people and not the pinhead political A#*h***s. He thought about it a couple days and I got the product, with a nice thank you for opening his eyes. Often times it is as simple as asking them why to make them change their minds, but if they don't then send your hard earned money to someone who will. Remember"The market will punish the majority"
            Ignorance can be corrected.
