Loaded firearms in vehicle while vehicle is where one is residing?

So, quick question; I am going camping this weekend at Cow Mountain (BLM land) and will be at a developed campground. From my understanding I can LOC so long as I am at my actual campsite (not while going to public restroom or outside of my campsite). Looking online it says this:
The Following Acts Are Prohibited On Public Lands:
    ....
Discharging or using firearms or fireworks in a developed recreation site (campgrounds & day use areas) .
    ....
I plan on sleeping in the bed of my truck with a camper on it, from what I remember while being used as a habitation and not being used for transportation automobiles are considered one's home. I have also heard that you should never even lean a loaded firearm on a vehicle, let alone be inside as that would be illegal (or does this only pertain to hunting).

Basically, can I have a loaded firearm in the bed of my truck while I am camping and using it as my habitation?

I'm not sure. I would tend to think that it would be just like a parked RV, AKA campsite.

Either way, if I was sleeping in my car in the middle of nowhere, loaded firearms would be readily available. I doubt even if you randomly see a ranger that they are going to ask/have a reason to search your truck.

Read PC 12031, 12026, and 12027. The last two deal with concealment exemptions.
False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

I'd say yes, see here and here for my reasoning.

Yes, as a campsite is considered a temporary residence. As long as the vehicle is not moving you can carry or have it loaded in your vehicle!

Makes sense, the covered truck bed also fits the definition of a camper, just like a 30 ft long camper it is a seperate compartment, by definition one can have an open container in the camper part even when the vehicle is being driven. But I would definitley make it clear that the vehicle is in "camping" mode, no keys in the cab, chock the wheels. Clearly show it is not currently a "vehicle" but a "domicile".
