    (Florida) New law clarifies accidental weapon exposure issue

    Just posted this so you guys can see what it's like back in the U.S.


    "If the wind blew open a man's jacket and exposed a gun and someone reported it," Samson said, "the man would not be doing anything illegal."
    The language of the bill has essentially been revised to allow for accidents, such as the one in Samson's example.

    Pretty sure this law went into effect July 1, not October 1 as the linked article says. The law actually started as a full LOC bill but some state senators got swayed by the tourism and retail lobbyists to dilute it into the present form.

      Its the same way here. Partially concealed by a holster in such events like the example is still considered concealed.

          Speaking of which, does anyone know of a method that allows for one to carry in a shoulder rig and keep your shirt unbuttoned, but still stops your over shirt from blowing back in the wind/while walking?

            You could button just one or two of the buttons in the middle, I guess.

            One of these days, I'll get a job somewhere and move to a free state. (Edit: Until then, I'll fight like crazy.)
