Like we trust Calguns moderators that are paid by CZ. However, I guess if CZ was paying you to keep quiet about a fake CZ account, that wouldn't make much sense. Wait, I am doing to much thinking without my helmet on.

Again, well done CZ. That was too easy.

The outcome of this thread makes me all warm and fuzzy about the new Dan Wesson PM7 I just bought. What a great 1911 it is, top shelf quality, parts (NO MIM PARTS), hand fitting, all for half the price of guns of similar quality!

Congrats CZ on showing everyone else exactly how issues like this should be resolved. If nothing else it makes me even more confident when I recommend CZ to other potential customers and I'm happy to say that CZ is back to the top of my wish list

              Production ? Response

While I don't understand why you had this ridiculous internal policy, I'm glad you fixed it.

While we have you on the phone, can you tell us when you are going to manufacture enough CZ 75 SP-01 pistols to meet the demand? I'm really wanting one but I don't want to order it, wait for 3 months for my dealer to find one and then have to pay over MSRP to get one. Don't you think you would make a lot more money if you had them for people to purchase?

It is quite common for an individual law enforcement officer to be off base when detailing a particular law, particularly those involving firearms. The variance in restrictive laws varies from state to state and the BATF agents DO NOT keep current on them.

In this case CZ is taking the safe path to avoid conflict and/or bring down unwanted attention. A lot individual gun dealers do the same thing and the BATF knows it and likes to bluster and bully at times.

ADVICE: Write a letter to the BATF office which CZ referred to stating your scenario and ask for clarification on their interpretation of the law. If you can, include the Statue (law) governing such matters. Enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope. Keep your letter content civil and business-like. Send your letter via US Mail using the CERTIFIED MAIL METHOD with a signature required at the other end. This guarantees a response.

Next, send a COPY of the your letter to CZ with a brief letter telling them you intend to get the confusion resolved, etc. Provide your contact info.

NOW, you have stirred up the action igniter with BATF and by policy they have to respond to you. This methodology is cheap and effective and will provide some helpful information.

It make also serve to purge bad info and decisions from that particular BATF office.

The judgement may stand, but that doesn't mean that you'll ever see any money or a repair. The courts just make decisions, it is up to you to collect the awards.

You might want to talk to this couple should you go the court route, however. They seem to have collections figured out.
A couple of foreclosed homeowners in Naples, Fla., reportedly foreclosed on a Bank of America branch last week. Their attorney had moving trucks pull up in front of a Naples branch to execute a judgment against the bank.

Thank you all for your many and varied replies. Please read the full thread and know that CZ USA has rectified the issue. I phoned warranty department today and received my return authorization code. Issue resolved. Despite a couple of lost emails that delayed resolution, their response in this thread has cured the issue. It's good to see that this thread has not dampened the zeal of CZ lovers, of which I am one.

Maybe you should change the title of the thread using the edit function.

Now if they would get the rami BD on the roster, it would be perfect.
