    William vs. DWP ???

No, not that DWP (Department of Water & Power)

After reading this new Thread about NFA trusts, I had a thought.
If Williams is granted cert. and prevails, How does that effect California's issuance (or rather lack of issuance) of the elusive Dangerous Weapons Permit (DWP)? Part of Williams' plea is the fact that the state requires him to obtain an unobtainable permit, to carry a gun. Even the State acknowledges that the permit is unobtainable for the average law abiding citizen.

So if SCOTUS rules that an unobtainable permit is basically an infringement and basically a ban, then could CA's lack of issuance of a DWP (or the permit itself) be challenged on the same basis?
