Many heads will roll over this. Hopefully, the top 1/3rd layers of ATF will be canned and replaced with more LAW ABIDING CITIZEN friendly personnel.

I think a big downsizing is in order. ATF should be cut back to administration tasks related to FFL's. No more investigations, SWAT team, or prosecutors. The FBI has the personnel for that. There's no need for the Federal Government to be investigatin gun only crimes, since the labyrinth of laws related to firearms is nearly impossible to navigate without hitting on some infraction, but then, that's what the legislators and regulators want.

I know...we all expected this. Unfortunately he probably won't be the only one.
I am not confident much will come of the whole sordid affair. I fear way too many people will believe the twisted logic of the L.A. Times and Washington Post that somehow the whole affair is the NRA's fault thus allowing this BATFE mess to be swept aside as the Obama administration promotes the next major crisis.

I believe Obama had knowledge of and approved of this operation, but he will be protected. I predict the Attorney General will take the fall once connections to the president are uncovered.
