What a joke. Most of the cartel weapons probably come from other Latin American nations, the Mexican military and government, and BATFE. Obama's handling of this has been a joke from the start.

In another thread about Mexican gun violence someone posted that the Mexican government bought thousands of M16s that went missing. Did they really go missing or did the cartels take them off the governments hands?Comment

But wait, if gun ownership in Mexico is prohibited, surely it cannot be possible for drug cartels to purchase weapons from the United States. That would be ILLEGAL.
If drug cartels were to ever attempt such a thing, it would give the appearance that gun control laws don't actually stop criminals from obtaining and using guns.
