I misunderstood. I thought you wrote that Mexico bought 177 million actual firearms, when you actually meant $177 million worth of firearms.

Yeah, and I found some documents from the US embassy in Mexico on wikileaks that detail how 90% of the real hardware-military grade stuff-comes from south american militaries, and how the Mexican borders with Guatemala and Belize have basically ZERO security and border enforcement.

If anyone reads Spanish there was an article on it in La Jornada, a Mexico City based fishwrap. I read it online.
