I am so pleased to hear that our legislators are always busy and so very concerned with our safety.

Neither is a BB gun! One is a 1911 and the other is a pellet gun LMAO

Perhaps a ban on lawmakers with an IQ of under 2 should be implemented. I think DeLeon should produce report cards proving he actually went to school at some time after he was born.

This stuff will continue until every gun owner that is a registered democrat contacts the state party and tells them that they will no longer support or contribute to the party until they put a stop to this anti-gun garbage.

This is what mine looked like when I bought it:

And this is what I did to it:

I also tweaked it to 1200 rounds per minute and made some other "evil changes"

But yeah I agree - these politicians have nothing better to do with their time.

Will this law also apply to airsoft guns? I know airsoft guns are also vaguely referred to as a "bb gun", hence retailers will stop selling black airsoft guns to California.

Well at the time (several years ago) I researched and as far as I could tell it was legal.

Oh BTW I forgot to mention my boating accident. Sure miss that gun.

                        EDIT: <snip>

Oops, well I just read the SB and I found out that I am a complete dingus. This is about BB Guns and Pellet Guns, designed to look like actual firearms. This is for all the airsoft market. It is basically sayng that any pellet, BB (bee-bee) gun or any imitation firearm will not be able to be imported or sold unless it has substantial color differences from the real firearms.

To be honest, I have wondered when a bill like this would come around. IMHO, it's kind of a good idea.....it is very difficult for cops to distinguish between real and fake threats. There have been numerous incidents where a cop shot someone because the suspect had an airsoft gun that looked exactly like the real thing. Wouldnt stop people from painting them though, so this is pretty much just another feel good bill that does nothing.

Responsibility is needed, NOT more laws.

So you can still modify your brightly colored BB gun right? It looks like this just means commercial sale... but still a waste of time nonetheless.

How can we stop these guys... all of them. I wish there would me a moratorium on new laws and regulations in this state. These SOBs just keep pouring it on.

There's more silliness in the proposed bill. Like this:

                              (b) As used in Section 20165, "imitation firearm" does not include
                              any of the following:
                              (1) A nonfiring collector's replica that is historically
significant, and is offered for sale in conjunction with a wall
                              plaque or presentation case.

So, first they want to mandate colors, then they want to mandate accessory furniture...
