"I am bound by ethical rules that prevent me from speculating or guessing on that question. I honestly do not know who at my group may or may not have communicated to who at your group. I was just asked to speak here tonight and help explain why this is a good idea for you. I will contact my boss tomorrow morning and have her call you ASAP with this information so that it may be added to the public record. We have no secrets. We are just trying to do a good thing here that will help your community reduce crime."

Again, this is NOT rocket science. They are seriously just "not that good." In my personal opinion.

Honestly, it sounded to me like she actually didn't know. It sounded like she had been sent to speak at this meeting but had not herself spoken with the committee that drafted the ordinance and didn't know if anyone from LCAV had. I suppose that might be a bit derpy, but not dishonest.

(No, "derpy" is not really a word, but oh well.)

I wish you would stop coaching the opposition on how to do a better job. Let them fail. Now, if you want to invite them to come to the winning team, then teach them to do better, I could get behind that, assuming of course that they were sincere about winning.
