    New DHS policy

Seriously? What is she thinking? Turn in your guns for paint ball guns at the border? More warm and fuzzies from the democrats.

The federal government disarming its agents? Hah, right. I'm sure within a few years, every IRS and DMV worker will be armed to the gills.

Nice one! Had me "[April] FOOLED"...

Only problem I have with this is that it COULD REALLY HAPPEN with the current DHS makeup.

IRS already has its enforcement arm (which is armed quite well), and many revenue agents already carry. I'm sure may DMV folks already carry "gats", too

Every day is a fool's day with the current administration. Even when they're serious it's a joke.

The truth is stranger than fiction. Not paint pellet guns, bean bag guns.

Agent Brian Terry, the BP agent who was shot and killed by smugglers last December, was reportedly armed with a bean bag shooting shotgun.

Not a very appropriate April Fools joke, given that the policies of DHS are already resulting in the needless death of BP agents.

Tragedy yes, but missing the bigger picture:

If that is all *I* can legally carry, that is what *all* citizens should be allowed to legally carry, LEO, BP or otherwise.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

And... how often exactly do you go out and confront armed felons and try to arrest them? Tell ya what, you go out and arrest an armed gang that's willing to shoot you, armed with "less than lethal" weapons and then we'll talk. Until then you're just playing a political game with the lives of good LEO's.
