Caseless Ammunition/Possible NFA Bypass?

Hello, I was looking over this thread: http://mobile.calguns.net/calgunforu...d.php?t=410317 regarding pinfire firearms, and a thought occured to me while playing Black Ops (zombies) . The HK G11 fires caseless ammunition, so I don't believe that it is centerfire or rimfire. If there were to be a production rifle firing caseless ammunition, how would it fit in to the current regulations? What if the G11 was produced and imported? Just an interesting brain teaser, any thoughts?

Check out remington's electrically primed cartridge and the 5.7 vec cartridge by voere

Thanks for the reply, the G11 was just an example of a firearm using caseless ammo. Obviously, it was never a production firearm, I'm more interested in the concept of caseless ammo, maybe California AW laws wouldn't apply?

California AW (rifle) laws only apply to centerfire cartridges..

it doesn't have to do with the fixed/caseless nature, rather the meathod of ignition.

So a caseless cartridge, fired electronically could be the ticket. Sorry for the G11 example, big fail. Still interested in the idea though. Any links to the interesting Russian ideas?
