Question: Do you believe Obama would push for, or re-institute the AWB and other gun law if he believed it would not hurt him politically? Or do you believe Obama has now come full circle and now believes in what he once fought against?

I believe he would not re-institute the AWB or any other law because he has OTHER things to worry about, much bigger things, such as the economy.

Obama wont be out of the woods with the economy at least through his second term.

There is nothing about my original question (or that from Barkoff) which requires mutant powers to understand. Since reading comprehension seems to be an issue for you ... please check the title for this thread: "Is Obama Really Pro 2A?" ... this is "the issue" we are discussing in this thread, and that doesn't require Uri Geller or Dr. X to ascertain either.

He always follows up the 2nd amendment with "Sportsmen" or something to that effect. As such, I think people's .22s and bolt action centerfires and pump/semi shotguns and even most handguns are completely safe. He might try to push an AW ban or magazine ban, but nothing more extreme than that.

Is it hysteria if people all over the nation want more .22 LR ammo to plink with?
Is it hysteria if more people happen to buy AR-15's since the sunset of the Federal AWB in 2004, which in turn causes more demand for .223/5.56 ammo, which in turn increases it's price because of the increased demand?

That is all caused by all the people expecting something that isn't coming. Any democrat would cause that. Its hardly Obama's fault that people see a trend or expect something to come and over react. You cannot blame Obama or his administration for what he didn't do. If he suddenly said all guns were legal and he would no longer enforce drug control laws and people would still be out buying ammo like theres no tomorrow just because he is a democrat

Swear to god, I always hear Obama's policies likened to Marxism or Stalinism Or Socialism (which, contrary to popular belief are very different things), but whenever anybody calls them out on just what those similarities are they either refer to hypotheticals or evade the question by questioning the knowledge of the other party.
