Are the names of people who are issued CCW's public record? It would be interesting to see how many politicians and family members or even staff members have been issued CCW's.

Yes, as is their address, employer, and other information. CPRA has a few exemptions for health data, judges, and a few others. See, www.gotcarry.org.

Feinstein and Boxer both have CCWs....my Political Science teacher lectured about it for about half an hour a few semesters ago.
It was awesome.
Amazingly, out of a room of 300 students. I was the only one that raised my hand to answer anything firearm related :/
