Question before I apply for CCW.

Hi everyone. Been lurking for a few months now as I decided what gun I wanted and how feasible it was to apply for CCW here in Fresno County. Anyways, my biggest concern is that I'm currently unemployed. Will this hurt my chances at all? On the flip side of that, I've got a recommendation letter from a Sheriff that retired last year. That can only help matters right?

SirOnion, you're fine. Go apply using a self-defense good cause.

Thanks! I've already read that link, but thanks for that too. It was more of a generic disdain for an unemployed person I was worried about, not an actual law.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Oh, there's disdain for unemployed people... in the fee structure.

I was laid off, so I've got unemployment. I'll use their money to pay their fees! (But really it's the tax return that's paying for the gun and the CCW ))
