Btw, Dearth and compliment each other in a lot of ways. California will make the argument in defense of their roster (of course, it's indefensible, since they ban the Heller 9 shot revolver but let's move past that) to protect it's state's residents from dangerous guns.
Tell me, how is that argument gonna fly when people from South Lake Tahoe, CA can just walk across the border to Stateline, Nevada to buy a handgun?

Hell, on top of that how can they possibly reconcile that statement with the millions of guns sold annually that ARENT on the roster in the other 49 states.Btw, Dearth and compliment each other in a lot of ways. Even DC wasn't able to justify keeping CA's handgun roster that they adopted right after Heller. I mean, they didn't even FIGHT that case. They dropped it like a live hand grenade. Please read the Calguns Wiki
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

For that matter, the LEO exemption vitiates any possible argument about 'safety' - LEOs have families and friends, who might be placed at risk by an 'unsafe handgun', and oh, the public is certainly at risk from unsafe handguns carried by LEOs.Hell, on top of that how can they possibly reconcile that statement with the millions of guns sold annually that ARENT on the roster in the other 49 states.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

man i love AZ.....maybe that's where i'll buy a second home...gotta love a state that respects the rights of its citizensBtw, Dearth and compliment each other in a lot of ways. i can't wait to read the brief on why CA thinks it should keep the roster after Dearth

it wont, and even if it does stand for a while, it will be tossed out when CA loses all the taxes from people just going to NV, AZ, and OR. You know damn well that our neighbor states aren't going to pander to the CA liberals when SCOTUS says they are allowed to sell to us. Hell, they'll probably be paying people to put flyers on our doors telling us to come buy guns in their state as long as there is still a roster!

People always seem to underestimate the level of strategy involved in checkers. And don't forget, you can take out more than one piece at a time in checkers!!!sigpic
Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.
