LEGAL TO BUY 22 AUTO AR CONVERSION KIT?

I read that this only works on M16s with happy switch. Is this even legal own in Cali?, or is it in the line of constructive possession if one has an AR?

Umm... most 22 conversion kits work just fine in a semi auto. There's no problem with using one.

A full auto 22 is a full auto, so no you can't have one unless you get ATF, DOJ, LLEO approval.

Yeah agree, but if its only the kit and no host weapon to allow it to function as full auto, can it still be constructive possession?

I saw it on the Ciener website, they have one for the AR and the other one for M16 which has the auto trip/bounce weight to support the auto fire mode of host firearm.

M16 Unit - Standard sub-caliber bolt/chamber adapter/return spring and guide rod/receiver rail assemble with 30 round magazine with the addition of the automatic trip and anti-bounce weight necessary to support the automatic fire mode of the parent firearm.

I'm not sure. It should be fine as long as it doesn't actually have an auto sear or mechanism that will allow it to go fully automatic.

        Get the semi-auto version?

full auto .22 conversion kit is nothing but a full-auto BCG, as long as legality is concerned. They are legal in Comifornia.

This kit doesn't enable full auto unless the host firearm has full auto already.

If you stick it in a semi, you get semi. If you stick it in an auto, you get auto.

Some people who have FA .223s wanna go a bit cheaper and toss a .22lr conversion kit. Not all kits will allow for FA in an FA firearm.

I've seen a few youtube videos, and they're awesome fun... especially with a suppressor. I'd love to have a .22lr SMG some day.

              Perfectly legal in CA.
