bolt action with detachable mag & pistol grip legal?

Sorry for the seemingly dumb question, I know I know everyone assumes I'm just remarkably brilliant but sometimes even really smart guys like me get confused by CA gun law.

    Yes.

The 12276.1 aw definition is 'semiautomatic', so other kinds of action are not included.

Hey, you're brilliant enough to ask - beats a lot of folks!

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

A great example of one is the Armalite AR-30.

So this would mean a Remington 7615P with pre-ban 30 round ar mags would be good to go?

Take a gander at the Savage 110BA LE ... Pistol grip and detachable mags are good to go!

7615 is a nice choice for a carbine!
