Hello All,
I'm building a CA legal AR57 with bullet button on the mag lock. For anyone not familiar with the AR57 set up, the upper receiver is the part that carries the magazine. The mag well on the lower is where the spent shells are ejected.
My AR57 will have a couple evil features so that is why I have the mag lock and fixed 10rnd mag.
My question is this: Does the AR lower have to have a bullet button as well? I plan to use a modified AR15 30rnd mag as a brass catcher in the AR lower. I just want to make sure it would be OK to use a standard mag release button set up on the lower. It sure makes it a heck of a lot easier to empty the brass catcher with the push of a button instead of having to use a tool.
Thanks
