Does he know the 2A isn't about sportsmen?

"Sportsmen" are different from citizens. You know, the ones who need the 2nd amendment to resist tyranny and then crime... ok and then hunt. In that order. The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with sporting.

I believe that the 2nd Amendment exists - therefore I believe in the 2A.

Sportsmen may have firearms as long as they have paid the fee required to have a squad of BATF to follow them around looking for any conceivable infractions.

Yup. Obama is the defender of our RKBA - that's why he's selected a rabid anti-RKBAer to run the BATF!

Love that it's up for auction. If tomorrow he legalized machine guns or banned all guns, that thing would be worth a fortune.

Obama supports the 2nd Amendment where it is interpreted as the right of *individuals* to serve in state militias only with the permission of the state government and with the state government storing the guns in locked armories where the people can't get at them. I don't like it when politicians are asked if they think the 2nd Amendment is an *individual* right, because they just say yes while not explaining that they think it is an individual right only for militia service. The correct question is something like "Do you think the 2nd Amendment includes an individual right independent of militia service?" Of course if you corner them like this, they will very likely just lie anyway.

Sportsmen: excludes vegetarians, urban populations, children of single women and feminized and/or lazy men, followers of a couple of major religions, agoraphobes, etc. Nothing suits anti gun politicians better than playing the "sporting" card, relegating the issue to an outcast 10% of the population.

What's worse, the major pro RKBA organization in NY completely falls in line with it.

Brings back a memory of a commercial from the days of Black and White Television, maybe late 60's - early 70's:

                          "..... Promise them anything . . . . but give them Arpege . . ."

                          Anyone remember that?

Yeah, and when pigs fly, politicians will stop lying. Just because he says something, does not make it so, nor the truth.
