I am so confused. First of all, no robbery took place. Nothing was taken. She was shot through the side window, 5 shots center mass. The police were hopeful that the gun he shot himself with was the murder weapon but yesterday they said that was not true. I have been watching and hearing these reports on ABC news.

So some ex convict on a bicycle that has the ability to shoot this good from the seat of a bicycle he's riding, panics and leaves without taking anything? Something just doesn't sound right here. I thought from the first moment I heard the story of her shooting that she must have pissed off somebody. This seems like a "hit" right out of a movie. I don't know why two media reports are so opposite but it seems like the BH pd is flip flopping on the story.

Sorry I kind of thread jacked but I was like, WTF when I read the CNN story.

Chasen drove away from the actual crime scene, several blocks IIRC. That would explain nothing being taken.

Funny how in this thread a few days ago folks were complaining about cops jacking people up on bikes; the LEOs responded by saying that criminals often ride bikes at night.

I guess the cops were right.

A friend of mine used to be a bicycle mechanic. He tells me that bikes are (no surprise) favored by those unable to get a driver's license. Illegal aliens were his bread & butter. I guess the same would apply to guys just out of prison as well.

Which also supports the cops.
