New Ca Supreme Court Chief Justice?

Yesterday Arnold appointed Tani Cantil-Sakauye as California's Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Thoughts on her appointment?

She points to Sandra Day O'Conner as an inspiration.... and performed a gay wedding. That should pretty much peg it right there.

Yes, and performing a "gay wedding" (funny, I thought there were only weddings) means right off the bat that they're anti-gun.

of course. I mean it isn't like there are ANY gays who like guns.

Or work to reform 2A laws across the country, even outside of their home state.

Or you know, folks who support people like us are not always anti-gun (civil libertarians and full libertarians, etc), or see the fact that Sandra Day O'Connor was the first female Supreme Court Justice, which is why many female judges and state supreme court justices look to her with inspiration.

It's easy to be intellectually lazy. I suggest actually really digging into her background and see what sort of "gun" decisions she's made, rather than taking guesses based on unrelated issues.

Pointing to Sandra Day O'Connor is a minor blemish when compared to being appointed by Arnold.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I'd say pointing to O'Connor isn't a blemish at all. She was the first female SCOTUS justice after all.

              Anyone know her REAL history?

She was appointed over the summer and was elected just this November. I believe she's the highest Filipina office holder in the State so kudos to her and her peeps.

Being pro-gun rights in the Bay Area is like being a vegan at an Outback Steakhouse. You know you're right but nobody gives a damn.

Your work is very much appreciated as a staunch 2A supporter/defender and legal advocate, and there is more support for you as a gay, than not, within the gun community.

Hey, maybe she'll look back and see what US guns did for the Philippines.

                          Yeah, right.

Wait I though all weddings were supposed to be gay.
