That is what I wrote - pronoun 'them' refers to immediately preceding noun 'weapons'. That's the rule I was taught in about 5th grade, but I'll grant that was a long time ago
Yeah...you'll notice I've never been on that show "Are you smarter than..." my grammar is apparently lacking.

Your fifth grade rule would apply for the plural pronoun if there were only one plural noun ("weapons") that the item refers to. However, there is also a singular noun (ammo- could be considered a collective singular) used with the plural ("ammo or weapons"), so I agree that there is confusion over whether you're referring to just the weapons, or the ammo and the weapons.

I teach 4th grade. (Which means I may not be qualified to judge 5th grade rules.....)

Well, my actual statement was "Unless you have C&R and those are C&R weapons, or you hold an 03 FFL, there is no way for you to buy "them 100% legally in the visitor state" - violates Federal law. " As you can see, my sentence did not use 'ammo' at all.

          What I meant was
          • Federal law does not regulate non-commercial transport of ammunition between states; that is, it is legal to buy ammunition outside of CA and bring it back according to Federal law; bavaria1990's statement was accurate in this part and needed no more support.
          • Federal law does, however, restrict interstate purchase of firearms to FFLs or requires such transactions to go through an FFL if the parties are not themselves licensed- bavaria1990's cri de coeur did not take 18 USC 922 (a)(3) and (a)(5) into account.
Sadly, shortcuts do introduce some ambiguity.

But I'm glad there are 4th grade teachers in CA that are Calguns members!

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Good to hear, J&G have always been good to CA buyers where they can.
Also, as to the respect of "Papers", other sellers ask for Illinois FOID cards just as well, so I see no difference in asking and accepting a C&R + COE.

You're right. I mistakenly read what Bavaria1990 said, and attributed it to you. My bad.

There are a few teachers who still understand our natural and inalienable right to self-defense, and still understand the importance of ALL the Constitution, not just the parts they like. But, sadly, not many. I am in a public school, Title I, working with kids who need help- particularly some of the boys. Too many have no male role model in their lives, or really bad ones.
