    HSC Exemptions and Military

    So according to the military exemptions, it use to be Honorably Discharged and changed to Honorably retired.

    * X21 = Military - Active Duty
    * X22 = Military - Reserve
    * X25 = Military - Honorably Retired

    according to this site
    senator.scott@sen.ca.gov . "

    Seems to me to be unfair for those who were injured/wounded and could not continue service to be honorably retired.

        Yup...one of the more idiotic features of the law...one minute you're exempt...the next minute you no longer are.

              You could lobby your current representative...probably not going to happen though.

                You change it by getting a legislator to quietly add in an exemption for personnel separated from the military that aren't discharged for bad conduct. That would have to be quietly attached to a bill guaranteed to pass...

                In the meantime, why not take a class that provides a separate exemption?

                  ...or take a test that's about an 8th grade level of difficulty? You'd spend a lot more coin than $25 on a P.O.S.T certified training course.

                    Scott termed out of the state senate. The 21 District is now represented by Carol Liu -- whom I believe termed out of the Assembly.

                    Writing to Scott was a useless exercise -- he had an agenda and didn't care what his constituents thought.

                    Just as writing to Liu will just get you a form letter reply.

                    Yeah, I'm in the 21st Senate District.
