UN proposed legislation

I check in here from time to time reading about anti gun legislation and was recently informed on the proposed U.N. Legislation placing many restrictions on Guns worldwide. This is not a new proposal, but should be of interest because current administration has authorized someone to begin negotiations. This differs from the past administration which refused to enter negotiations on this issue. If this were to come into effect after 2012 this would effectively backdoor U.S. laws and place restrictions and direct bans on guns. I know this seems vague I'm hoping that after reading this people do research and educate themselves. This current administration is allowing very scary policies which may ban gardening, and processing of meats effecting hunting. And proposals to make your house more energy effecient allowing the gov't to come into your house and require upgrades.
look up HR875, look up U.N. anti gun legislation, look up aceee, keep in mind how the new health care laws were pushed through with no regard to the opinions of the people.

What part of "Reid v. Covert prohibits treaties and executive agreements which violate the US Constitution" do you not understand?

The Rebecca Peters report is 2 years pre-Heller and 4 years pre-McDonald. The Macedo report there is from earlier this year. NRA is monitoring the situation to make sure it doesn't cross the line in effecting domestic stuff. Treaties require 67 votes. 67 votes. Gun controllers in the Senate are lucky if they have 35 votes to pull something stupid.

maybe i can clear things up a little. Every week or so a new member posts these damn articles about the UN blah blah blah, It gets a little old.

This topic has been coming up here roughly weekly for well over a year. It's not news, it's not anything to worry about, and your snotty attitude about being corrected on this doesn't reflect well on you. I suggest that you read a bit more rather than getting upset that you were corrected on a topic that has been thoroughly and repeatedly debated and debunked.
