The only place that has given me grief about the change of address form for a DROS was Big 5... and they specifically wanted the brown DL43 card that was timestamped at the DMV. What a waste.

I just got back from turners. They wouldn't take my new address I wrote on the back of my DL. I already changed my address online but apparently I need an official DMV printout. At least they took my cable bill as secodary proof of residence...good thing I put that under my name at the place I rent from...

So I guess I have to make an appointment with the DMV and get their new looking DLs. Yuck.

This is a problem. The field agents can say whatever they want. The fact is there is nothing in the law which requires a "printed" document. The California Change of Address card, Form DL-43 is a government issued document (as long as it has the date stamp on it) and it has an expiration date...the expiration date of the DL/ID. So, until I see a ruling from the ATF IN WRITING to the contrary, it is an acceptable form to me.

what good does it do for us if it's acceptable to us if a retailer feels it is not acceptable?
