Now we just need a Cali state const. Amendment that says the same.
I doubt the vote in Cali would be any where near that though.WTB: SWISS & German police trade in pistols
WTB: German made & proofed SIG P226R & P228R
WTB: Factory cutaway pistols & rifles
WTB: LAPD Ithaca M37 / CHP S&W / Other PD trade ins.... -
I think it's called ' The Second Amendment '--------------------------------------------------------------

Yes but as we've learned, it's better to have it declared at all levels of government.Looking for photos for your wall?

I lived in Kansas in 2005-2007 right before moving to CA. It was a patchwork of restrictive local gun ordinances and no CCW, ruled from the liberal enclave of Topeka, by her Majesty Kathleen Sibelius. How far they've come since then and what great news this is.

Kansas already had a 2A and they just "double downed" on it. This can be cited as to how americans feel about the "outdated" little right in the constitution. Let's hope some other states follow their lead.Last edited by putput; 11-06-2010, 10:42 AM."America is at that awkward stage. This is more important than most state RKBA changes. This specifically overturns Salina v. Blaksley which was the very first State Supreme Court decision that adopted the so called "collective rights" or "states rights" approach to interpreting state and federal right to bear arms provisions.

This is great. It's significant because of the overwhelming majority approval it got. It's significant because it gives a modern, unambiguous word choice which (hopefully) will have less room for tortured and weaselly interpretations. And as Gene says, this amendment is the people of Kansas telling their court, "no, you idiots, your interpretation was wrong, so we're passing this again in language simple enough that judges can understand it."
That seems to mean that various types of military weapons have some state-level protection in Kansas now. I have a feeling that we're in for a round of attempts to weaken Wickard, what with all the challenges to Obamacare and the Firearms Freedoms Acts being passed. I note that some states have also passed state const. amends. that guarantee healthcare choice, which is also setting up some challenges. Whether these will make any progress remains to be seen."Weakness is provocative."
