    How anti-gun is Kamala Harris?

I knew i wasn't going to vote for her very early on, so i didn't pay much attention to her, but with this rediculous upset I'm starting to worry. What is her publicly stated stance on gun control, and what has she done in the past that supports that stance or proves otherwise?

      This statement sums it up:

Harris has been recognized as a reformer for trying to improve laws aimed at social problems that help lead to crime.

The above gives a good summary.

CA Gunlaws web site collected the info.
▸ Sponsored a San Francisco ordinance requiring gun owners to keep their handguns in a locked container or disabled with a trigger lock in their own homes making them useless for immediate self-defense! And said that “[j]ust because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn’t mean that we’re not going to walk into that home and check to see if you’re being responsible and safe in the way that you conduct your affairs.”

Why is it that things like that don't make it into the news BEFORE the election? That's probably something that voters would have found disturbing....

If you are an illegal alien we won't bust you for mugging but if you kill a whole familly and get caught we will have to try you ...sorry.
And if you have an AK under your coat and are harrassed by the police we won't ask for the death penalty if you kill the cop... it's obvious you are the victim.

to be honest, a lot of people wouldn't care about "little things" like illegal search and seizure, as well as criminalizing an important part of RKBA.

the book was out on Kamala Harris for everyone to see. Those people who actually understood the issues at stake and her record in SF (even liberal San Franciscans have a special distaste for her) knew that Cooley was the sensible choice.

however, since too many people just look for the "D" (or "R") the issues simply don't matter sometimes.

if she does end up winning (and the race isn't over until every vote is counted or cooley concedes), the silver lining is that her incompetence makes her an easy target for CGF and others to bring suits and successfully expand the rights of california gun owners through the court system--and a special satisfaction in watching her squirm.

This may come as a complete surprise, but "the media" have an agenda.

That agenda is to get as many DemocRats elected as possible.

Why would they want to report that kind of information?

You think the average citizen cares?

How do you think we got in this mess?

Hell, I just talked to a guy the other day- someone I know that I always thought was a really good guy -and he tells me that if a cop asks him if he can search his vehicle he says "sure!" I tried to explain to him why this was folly and his response was the canned "well, if you've got nothing to hide... and if I tell him no then he'll arrest me..." This is a guy that believes the NWO is taking over, etc, and even he has no regard for his 4th amendment rights. Seriously. I then asked him if he had a screwdriver in his car and he tells me he keeps one in his door pocket to deter muggers/carjackers. When I explained that it was illegal he tells me that no judge would ever allow something like that to be prosecuted.

THESE are the "voters" we're dealing with. Over half the people I work with told me they didn't vote (I did an unofficial poll) and nearly half of those that DID vote didn't know who to vote for because they weren't paying attention. Mind you these are mostly self-proclaimed republicans and libertarians. It's not just the libs/dems that are sheep- it's almost everyone, and they're effing it up for everyone else.

One of the most vocally-republican employees here asked me today: "which one was harris- she was the republican, right?" That right there is the danger of voting along party lines- it actually discourages you from learning who you're voting for.

That is so scary. Thank god we have judges to reign in even our state's highest elected judicial position.
