I seem to recall this happened the last time the AG was up for grabs: The Rep was a fair bit ahead in the raw numbers when I went to bed, when I woke up, the cities had reported in their final tallies and Brown had won it.

With so many ballots mailed in, it's going to take a long time (days) before they're all counted. In most cases, the registrar of voters will cross-check the signatures on the envelopes with official records, and with the rosters at polling places, to be certain the absentee ballot is not from someone who also voted at the polls. This all takes time... I would not be surprised if we have some cliff-hangers in this state, on into the weekend.

Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans can fix our problems, because both parties are fundamentally the same in all the ways that really matter. Both want big, overbearing, freedom-robbing government. Both are against liberty. Both are against fundamental rights. Freedom and the individual creative drive it fosters are the only things that are going to get us out of this mess, and both parties have spent decades stripping those from us, until the country has become an empty husk that bears only the faintest of resemblance to its former self.

Until the population at large finally recognizes that both parties are ethically and mentally bankrupt, this country will continue its headlong slide into the abyss.
