    Voluntary registration time

I recently sent in the voluntary registration form to DOJ for a handgun I was given. Does any one know roughly how long it will take to hear back from them.

I searched but did not find anything.

Processing those is not high on their list of priority actions.

Except for carrying illegally CCW, it doesn't matter whether they ever respond.

Would be nice if they did though.

      CCW isn't going to happen.

When I registered my handguns after I moved back to CA two years ago it took right about ~4-6 weeks to get the confirmation letter.

Sent mine about the third week of April, got my confirmation letter back on June 10th. I resented the fact that I needed to register a pistol that was already legally registered to me but all in all it was an easy, painless process.
