    State Supreme Court Judicial Nominees

Filling out the mail in ballot this AM, furlough Friday. At a total loss regarding the Judicial section.

    It's either yes or no.

    Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye

    Ming W. Chin

    Carlos R. Moreno

    George W. Nicholson

    Harry E. Hull, Jr.

    M. Kathleen Butz

Anyone have a take on these folks re 2nd Amend ?

    Thanks !!

BTW what happens if they win or lose ? They are not running against anyone. If they win, does someone get booted ?

If there are more ney votes, who stays in ??

Please no videos or cat torture Youtube clips.

With the exception of Justice Cantil-Sakauye, all the judges on the ballot are currently-sitting judges coming up for a retention vote. If they "win" (more yes than no), they stay on the bench. If they "lose" (more no than yes), they get booted and the governor has to nominate a replacement.

Justice Cantil-Sakauye is a new nominee for the state supreme court, so hers is a confirmation vote - if she wins, she gets the job; if she loses, she doesn't.

As far as 2A goes, I know nothing about the court of appeals judges. Justice Moreno is bad news, Justice Chin has been better to us.
