    Which candidates are pro gun?

With the elections close, I want to know who has a pro gun stance in their policies so I can make a more educated vote. I think there should be a sticky up at the top with the names so we can easily access the information.

    Try this site out: http://www.ontheissues.org/states/ca.htm

It has voting records, quotes, etc. on different issues. On the right column, click on gun control.

We really should have a poll to see what the majority on CGN would vote for. IE names and props with number of member votes.

Keep in mind that no statewide candidate can publicly say that they are "Pro-gun" and get elected in CA.

Carly Fiorina has made some ambiguous statements when asked about new AW laws, and a few people here took that to mean she's ok with new AW laws. In reality, she's just being smart, and not shooting down her campaign.

In local city/county races, in some areas candidates can and may be expected to say they're pro-gun, but in real life, CA positions are won by SF, LA and Sac, which are sadly anti-gun.
"If we are to go around and decide who can and who cannot be free to live their lives in a way that is most conducive to their "pursuit of happiness" as long as it does no harm to others then our own freedoms are merely at the whim of the government because we are empowering them to decide that some rights are worth protecting and others aren't. Dale Ogden is probably more pro-gun than any other candidate in any of the statewide races. Not only is he against virtually all gun laws, but he also understands the increasing threat to our liberties from the police (recent examples here and here) and will actually prosecute them when they violate the rights of citizens, and try to reduce their power overall:

Gun Rights: I am a strong supporter of the 2nd and 9th amendments and believe in both the right to keep and bear arms, with little or no restrictionsI would prosecute any law enforcement agents who violate the rights of California citizens, including, but not limited to, unconstitutional gun control laws, asset forfeiture, and excessive force used in drug busts. I would do everything in my power to disband all SWAT teams; they have become a menace. We live in a police state where federal, state, and local law enforcement agents are a greater threat to our life, liberty, and property than common criminals. Ending the war on drugs would eliminate a lot of crime, and we could cut our various police forces and government attorneys offices in half or better. I would rather have 15-20% of the citizens on the street armed and disarm the police.

Just look at how anti-gun this state is, then look at who is responsible...
