You know what? I am glad I was wrong too =P

I couldn't find the entire law just the excerpt of what you could not do.

What about out of state shooters bringing legal out of state hicaps into Ca to shoot matches?
How does Ca law define "Import"?

I would not do that. Full capacity magazines do not have the exemption that AWs do for certified matches (which I still wouldn't use), so I imagine that doing what you're proposing would be felony importation of full capacity magazines.

I'm confused, i thought one couldn't use a high cap mag on an OLL. I'm assuming the guy with the AW can but if he lets his friend use it (in the presense of) can it go into his buddy's OLL?

Im' curious cuz I have the same situation. All my friends but me, have registered AR's. They all have boxes of high caps from back in the 80's and early 90's. They try and get me to use them but I don't cuz I thought I couldn't.

So based on the threads, I'm assuming I can. Or did i miss a key post.

            It depends.

If you have a fixed magazine build, you may NOT use a full capacity magazine, since a rifle with a >10rd fixed magazine = assault weapon.

If you have an OLL built up with a monster man grip, or U-15 stock, or otherwise without evil features but with a detachable magazine, then you MAY use a full capacity magazine in the OLL.

How do we know you aren't logged in from behind the counter?
If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

Sweet. Thanks for the clarification. I've been avoiding it without fully understanding and sometimes these threads get so big it's hard to comb through them. Now that i have that clarity, I might have to build an Monster Grip configured OLL.

have a great long weekend guys.
